Started on the couchghan.

Started working a round ripple pattern in two shades of blue. Wanted to make it more of a mans snuggle than mine since I already use one that was gifted to me by my hubby's aunt. So far moving swift to get it done late at night and early in the mornings working an hour at a time. Here is a pic of the progress so far.

Almost without my PC!! UGHHHH

Today decided to move around the furniture including relocating my computer to another room. Well things were going great until around supper time I turned on Taylor Swift videos for my daughter to watch and off popped my computer. At first I thought she may have been messing around and hit the power off. Well tried it again and same thing. After dinner I decided to check out the back of the tower. Wow!! Needless to say I need to regularly dust this old thing to make it last until after the holidays! I pulled out the vacuum and went to town      unclogging the fans and anything covered in dust. Must have worked cause here I sit typing away. LOL

I decided I need to get busy making a new afghan to put over our new love seat. It is a cream colored leather that I do not want marred by the kiddos. Have to decide on the colors of if i want to just make a nice cozy scrapghan. I prefer it to be WARM since the weather is changing fast around here. We had our first taste of snow, luckily only 2 inches of powdery stuff. Not looking forward to later this week dealing with the wet winter mix they are forecasting.

Taboggon hat

Made this to keep my daughters ears warm this winter. The pink and black colors match her coat which is reversible! Just  need to get it back from her long enough to add a tassel or fringe to the tip. Please leave me comments or suggestions. Still have enough of each color yarn to make a matching scarf.

Some costume prep

Took my daughter to pick out a Halloween costume tonight. She needs to have a friendly costume, as she goes to preschool at a church. We decided on a black cat ear piece she can wear with a black jogging suit or leotard w/ pants. It gets very cold here every Halloween  (as it is now with 60 mph winds. )More than likely we will need to wear our winter coats and not be able to stay out trick or treating too long. Good thing her coat is black. We could not find a tail piece so I plunged and crocheted one using fun fur and a strand of black ww. I used the I cord pattern only a larger hook than called for. When I got it to the right length she wanted I sewed it right onto the butt of her pants. checkout the pick and let me know how I did. I will take better pics on Friday morning before she goes to school with the face paint applied.

After a long weekend shift

Well I survived my first weekend back at work. (hopefully find out tomorrow if it's the last, crossing fingers) Being away from my little ones for 12hours is asking a lot outta this momma. Daddy did an awesome job taking care of them both. Used quite a few diapers, but he was kept clean as was the house!

Time for change

Today I finally made an attempt at change for the better of our family! I interviewed for a new position within our company at work. I'm ready for the pace to pick up and for the new schedule. No more long evenings away from my family! They will have supper on the table every night without hubby attempting to cook! LOL ... Crossing my fingers I hear good news first part of next week. The sad part will be leaving my everyday co-workers, we all have sort of built our own little family amongst each other. But either way I need to make a change and no looking back now.

Welcome

Today I woke up and decided to get this blog rolling. It has been something I have wanted to start for awhile now, but kept putting off. I will admit I doubt I have an interesting and exciting life by most standards, but it is mine all the same. Recently my life has taken an unexpected but very blessed turn upside down with the birth of my son. Just when we had gotten past the all night ups and downs, potty training and almost to all day kindergarten with our daughter, BAM! Never expected to have a 5 year gap between our children, but we will be thankful for whatever the good Lord gives us! Timing seems to be something my life has never had good favor of. We sure were not thinking in terms of new baby when we welcomed our new bulldog puppy into our home. We actually got Bella 4 months before we found out we were expecting. She has stolen my daughters heart completely, so I suppose we will keep weathering the storm of her crazy puppy antics. How hard can this whole "mother of two" life be? I will keep you updated on my sanity level regularly.
